The Nature of Reality for Confident English

The common saying, "Such is life! (in the tropics)" is used when something disappointing or surprising has happened that we need to accept, and it is true that we are not in control of what happens in the world, or of the way others behave, or of what others think.

But we are in control, if we choose to be, of how we manage ourselves in the world, the way in which we respond to pleasant and unpleasant events. Becoming skillful, confident and fluent in English is not so much about speaking it perfectly as it is about feeling spacious (not tight), calm (not agitated) and joyful within, treating ourselves first of all, and then others, with kindness, patience, and a friendly, open attitude.

This is the nature of reality, and in this week's video, we'll explore how connecting with deeper aspects of ourselves brings us closer to the way reality is beyond thoughts and concepts, and how this, in turn, helps us experience English in a more spacious, calm and joyful way.
